Check out the site we designed and developed.

Robots4Whales began as a request for a website redesign from WHOI scientist Mark Baumgartner, whose team monitors marine mammals using autonomous ocean robots. The Creative Studio saw an opportunity to evolve an older flat html research site into a scalable platform—one capable of supporting live data, public visibility, and scientific reliability.

We partnered with Mark to design and build both a compelling public-facing experience and the underlying systems that power it. In addition to a highly visual front end, we created a custom data logging and management dashboard that organizes incoming data, tracks key metrics, and governs what appears in the live three and seven-day view—ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across the platform.

The result is a resilient storytelling and data ecosystem that balances accessibility with rigor. By combining thoughtful UX, custom data integration, and backend tooling purpose-built for live research, the Creative Studio delivered a platform that supports conservation efforts today while remaining flexible for future growth.
