Participants gather at COP28’s first-ever Ocean Pavilion—an unprecedented space dedicated to elevating ocean science, solutions, and global collaboration.

For four years, the Creative Studio has led the design of an ocean-themed exhibit at the United Nations Conference of Parties. This event draws 40,000-85,000 attendees annually, which include heads of state, national negotiators, and non-governmental organizations working to build consensus and facilitate progress on climate action among 197 countries and the European Union.

The Ocean Pavillion showcases Creative’s ability to transform a trade show space into an immersive experience. Anchored with bold colors and original artwork, the pavilion is a meeting place, a hub of programming, and puts the ocean at the center of the climate conversation. It also happens to look great in photos.

The Ocean Pavillion is sponsored by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Scripps Institute of Oceanogray, and other ocean-focused global organizations. For space design, Creative collaborated with the architectural firm Cambridge Seven.
